Candy Sushi

Several years ago, for Little Devil's birthday we took her and a group of friends to the local hibachi/sushi restaurant for dinner.  Instead of a birthday cake, I decided to make "Candy Sushi" instead.  A combination of Hostess HoHos snack cakes, Rice Krispie Treats, fruit roll-ups and Swedish Fish.  It's a sweet treat, perfect for any sushi lover!

This is my kind of sushi!

Candy Sushi1 box Hostess Hohos snack cakes
1 batch prepared Rice Krispie treats
fruit rolls ups
Swedish fish or other "gummy" fish

Slice each Hoho into thirds.  Unroll fruit roll ups.  Cut strips to wrap around Hoho pieces to represent the seaweed (Nori).  To make "Nigiri" style candy sushi, cut Rice Krispie treats into bars about 2-inches long and 1-inch wide.  Cut small strips of fruit roll and wrap around Rice Krispie treat.  Top with gummy fish.  Get lots of smiles and enjoy!
