Slow Cooker Kielbasa

A while back I made this dish for Mr. Devilish.  We both love any kind of sausage and I thought this would be yummy served with grilled cabbage.  Seemed like the perfect combination to me!  He loved it.  He said, "You're so gourmet.  You're like Top Chef.  It's like a de-constructed hot dog."  If he only knew how simple this was to make.  I served it as a main course with grilled cabbage, but you could definitely use this as a great party appetizer.  Simply set some frilly toothpicks out beside your crockpot and you're all set!

So simple and yummy!
The Line Up
Can't get much easier than four ingredients!

Slow Cooker Kielbasa

1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup ketchup
1/4 cup prepared horseradish (mild or hot, up to you!)
2 pounds kielbasa sausage, sliced thin

In a bowl combine sugar, ketchup and horseradish.  Pour into slow cooker.  Add sliced sausage.  Stir to coat.  Cover and cook on high until mixture begins to boil (it may not boil, but it does start to get pretty hot.)  Reduce to low, and cook at least 1 hour.  (Sauce will thicken slightly)

Prep Time:  Approximately 10 minutes     Cook Time:  Approximately 2-3 hours

  2. Thank you! It's right up mine too! So delicious and easy. I've even done it on the stove top and let them simmer in the sauce for about 30 minutes and they were equally delicious!
