Seven Ingredient Soup

A while back, one of my fellow foodie bloggers was talking about a comment that someone left on her blog.  They asked if she ever made anything but "run of the mill food."  Now I don't know if it was an honest question that came off in a bad way because you know the computer can't convey your tone of voice or tell if you had a smile on your face while you were typing, OR if it was meant to be a hurtful remark.  But as my mother would say, "If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all."  Do I cook run of the mill food?  Heck yeah I do.  If I didn't, we would starve.  That doesn't mean when I have extra time I don't attempt insanely complicated things like Croquembouche.  When I feel like channeling my inner chef, I make things that would not be considered run of the mill.  But that's something I like to do.  For fun.  By all means if you want to attempt insanely complicated things like Croquembouche, then go for it.  We don't judge here at The Devilish Dish.  But if your time is limited, or attempting chef-style recipes isn't your thing then that's okay too.  I like to cook all kinds of things and share them with you.  Call this one run of the mill if you want to, I call it tasty.  And super simple.  Just don't leave any smarmy remarks on my blog, or I might hunt you down and karate chop you.  We're all food friends here.
Seven Ingredient Soup-The addition
of Minestrone makes an
unusual, but extremely
tasty addition.  It's not quite
Mexican, not quite Italian, but
it is quite good!
Only 5 ingredients plus water and salt/pepper!
Brown ground beef in a Dutch oven.
Drain off any grease.
Add Minestrone and 3 cans of water.
Add Ranch style beans.
Add Ro-Tel Tomatoes
Add tomato sauce
Simmer for 20 minutes.
Season with salt and pepper if necessary
and serve.
Enjoy.
